More Work from one of my students

One of my students finished his midterm exam which was to texture a model that I supplied and the restrictions were only use a diffuse texture (no spec, normal or decals). He did everything hand painted. With his permission, he allowed me to provide a link on polycount. Great job!

Why aren't the students posting their own work? Might be good for them to learn how to use polycount and ask for critiques as well as receive critiques from all of us and not just a few people in one class. Just a thought. Work looks pretty cool though, I'd like to hear where he plans on taking it or if this is being called done.

He was posting it on Facebook and I got a little excited and wanted to promote his work. I agree... he should be posting his own work on polycount.

we certainly did crits in class after the exam was due, he did well for only having a week.

I would agree, looks nice, probably could've used better use of texture space and used his textures modularly, but for a week project, very nice, would be interesting to see what he could do in a month.

that was the whole point. the geo was meant to be super low poly so that they students had to be creative with their textures to make the model more interesting.

I would have like to have a teacher like you, My texture teacher gave us crappy ultra high scanned model and ask us to do thing that require 0 imagination at all.
