Hi polycount

How do i model a crumpled ball of a piece of paper?
I find good way For 3dmax... but Maya ? or different technics, solutions for this.

How to make ? I want to give papers of different shapes.
I find different way but I don't understand

(This could be done with a NURBS surface "lofted" out of a number of "wrinkle profile" curves. By animating the vertices on the curves you could convincingly simulate part of the process. You may want to read on "cloth" in Maya 5, since there lies another solution. )
Thank you very much.

Made a quick and dirty little tut.

This is by no means final, sure i could get better results with a better shape to drop it into, and by messing with the ncoth settings, but it shows the basics for you.
O my god ! :') Thank you very much. Passerby !!!

Absolutely beautiful. Im so happy now.
Best Tuesday ever
I think... it is also very useful for all Maya users.
I'm doing right now.
Any idea hows fix this ?
The cloth simulation needs a lot of geo to be accurate, so if you want it to be farily lowpoly you should just use reduce on it after you run the simulation.
Ok what do you think... napkin paper details ? What can I do for more details ? like this. more polygon ?
