Loft in maya..

I am trying to follow this tutorial on making a ship. Im not making a wooden one, I am making an oil tanker. I've followed it well up until the LOFT command part.

This is what theyre doing:



And this is how mine is coming out using the same loft settings..

wtf? Odd topology, some sections didnt even loft, and nothing is welded or smoothed out??!!?

Looks like you have it set to NURBS or Subdiv instead of Polygons, or perhaps your U type and V type in the options menus just above those indicated fields aren't set to the correct option (they should be set to the last option in the dropdown for both)

Tried both. His settings and your recommendation. No luck

Would your tessellation method happen to be set to Standard Fit instead of General?

Are you selecting your curves in order from one side to the other? (selecting out of order will disrupt lofting)

How does lofting behave with only two or three curves selected?

Everything is set the way he set it up.

The loft either doesnt work or has the result i showed you.

Well, in this case upload a portion of the scene and let us have a look at it. Like last time. (A few curves will suffice.)
