Like where this is going, small legs slightly big muscles?
Just a thought, do what your doing, you know what is best, will enjoy the progress either way.
I like where this is going, I would play with the arm silhouette a bit more, its really close to normal anatomy right now. Love the stylized look man! Keep it up!
I think that if you make sharp edges to the ribcage and pectorals you should threat the rest of the body with some shar edges as well. Like to the triceps or the knee caps.
It feels like you're using two different styles.
Really digging the style, only real thing bugging me is that the knees look a little low. The legs in side view are also looking a bit strange to me, they could probably do with a more refined S-curve. He is also probably a bit back-heavy so it might just be that you need to push the feet back a bit.
you know, I do love this more and more everytime I see it. The style reminds me a lot of Batman Beyond, but more... harsh definition, if you get what i mean.
Really great style, I love look you have so far. I am not sure what age you are going for, but his current proportions make him look like a teenager, but then that big massive chest doesn't so it is a little weird. I think if you lengthen and bulk up the legs a tad he will look more like an adult. If you are going for a more teenager look then I think you need to tone down the upper body. This is just my thought about the design from my point of view, but do what you think is best for what you are trying to create.
Thanks for all the help and motivation guys. You were very right about the knees, TheodorUrhed. They were definitely low. I also pulled the feet back more to make it seem balanced. BARDLER, I didn't want to bulk up the legs so much but I agree they needed to be a bit longer so I changed that. Lastly, I cleaned up the surface, brought some more sharp areas in the limbs to be more consistent with the torso and added some small details. I'm not sure about the details though. I'm thinking it might be a bit noisy. Does anyone have any suggestions in that area? Also, does anyone have tips on texturing. I find for stylized characters I end up just having solid color fills on areas with a smooth surface but that can turn out looking bland. Specifically, does anyone have suggestions on texturing a metallic surface (such as with the shoulder plates) without making it look too noisy? I'd usually use photo manipulation of metal as a base but I don't think that would work here.
Looking good! One of the biggest problems with your work is the lack of material definition. You do the great sculpts and get a good texture out there, but never work the spec/ gloss enough. Now if you are intending this to be a more hand painted piece you could still go a long way to define the materials. Currently it just looks like flat diffuse with AO on top. I would really like to see either a good specular treatment or a really well painted diffuse texture. Not trying to be harsh, but if you spent more time on the texture polish phase your work would look soo much better. Keep it up!
Great model! love the stylized look. One thing thats bugging me is the thighs. I dont' know if you did that on purpose, but I think the thighs should be more bulkier. Have some more muscle definition. Great job tho!
I'm glad you guys are liking it. I was a bit delayed with work but I managed to get close enough to finished. I played with a couple poses. Thank you everyone for the feedback and attention.

As he said, I like how you're approaching this.

With as stylized the body and limbs are, the head/hands seems really plain, I'd challenge you to try to bring it in to the style!
It's giving me a bit of a Gendy Tartakovsky vibe.
Love the style btw, things like this always scream at me for a goofy wild stylized injustice, smash bros mash up.
Keep it up, LOVIN IT!
