Hi,
For the past 2 Months Ive been working as an intern on JetGetters, a game by Tiny Build Games.
Were currently doing a
Kickstarter. For more information about the game, please check
www.JetGetters.com
With their permission, Im using this thread to post my work on the game. Ive been responsible for the entire 3d pipeline, so everything you see is modeled, uved, textured, rigged and animated by me.
Enjoy!
These are obviously not all animations. I'm expecting to have some in-game footage of those soon.
Apart from working on these things I've also done quite some promotional work for the Kickstarter, like a trailer, the GIFs on the Kickstarter page and flyers/banners.
I'll most likely be posting a lot more assets when I get to show them.
Thanks for checking it out, and all feedback is more than welcome!

These assets could use some optimization. You have a lot of edgles that don't contribute to the shape. Also there a lot of small details that won't ever be seen in game.
Textures/UVs could also be optimized. Some parts can be overlapped and some things can be mirrored in the UV. This could save a lot texture space overall.
Animations look pretty fun. I'm keeping an eye on this project.
Some of the edges that aren't there for the shape are there for the animations, though. But you'te most likely right, I could probably optimise further. I just didn't think it was too neccesary, since all characters are under 2k, and all planes are under 1k polys. I'll keep it in mind, though!
As for the textures, I'm still hoping to do a (non symmetrical) high polygon to bake down some folds and all. That's why I haven't made them overlapping.
Which small details are you referring to, exactly?
The small details I was refering to are mostly the belt icon thinghys. But on second glance, they are really not that small. Just a bit too dense in detail.
