Hello people!

My name is Max, i am 25 years old and I'm studying digital art and 3d visualization in preparation for my job hunt in the field of game development.

I have 2 reasons, why i would like to show my work to you guys. I want to show my pictures to people with a similar interest behind their work and that can help me to improve on what i can do right now.

So i hope you enjoy my works and please leave a critique if you have the time!

On of the few fully colored works of mine. One of my biggest problems i have is the use of colors. I'm trying to work on that:

wow awesome red hood, the red bat symbol looks harsh though. and if you have problems with colors try doing master studies, grab an artwork you like and paint it WITHOUT picking the color from it. You will be amaze to see what the actual colors are.

Also, i have two new works around 30 minutes of worktime.
The first is Ghoul with a bulge on his back:

A grinning goblin. The shoes are too big for him because originally they weren't his. An error that was quickly and painfully fixed

This guy right is not grinning but he has a beak. Quick speedpaint, around about 1 hour of work.

Well, long time no post, so ill blow the dust of this thread away with an idea for a 4-armed battle-suit. Could carry any combination of weapons of course.

I like your paintings, do you start in grayscale?

Hi there and thanks for liking my stuff!
I actually start with black silhouettes, add grey lights and then overlay colors on it. It makes the colors a bit muddy though which up to this point i had to work out by hand.

Started as a one hour speedpaint that i wasn't too happy with. Gave it another 30 minutes of paint over and now it's not that bad me thinks!

Hey Zaphiron, your art really looks good so far, I would suggest as to check out your value range on your studies/artworks, because I have a feeling that are you are using a small variety of values like 3-4 where in order for the piece to come out better, both in depth and balance, you need a bigger variety of values and better placement as well, I feel like in some of them the values of darks are placed a bit around the place. Check it out Overall I think it's a great work you seem to getting very good with anatomy and proportions.

Yes, i am still looking at tutorials and practicing to improve my values. Got to say, i am having loads of fun with my works since i found that technique *g*

So here is the next one. Values still a bit confused and up to this point, nobody guessed that it was supposed to be He-Man .. but i like it nontheless.
