***Here's the final version!
Hey everyone. I decided to try and make something during my short spring break. I was playing P99 and always liked the
goblin model. So in this thread will be my progress on it.
So far I've only spent a couple hours on it, and wanted to stop and get some feedback before going much farther. In the past I've gotten really far on stuff and realized some major problems, so to combat this I'm posting now.
Here is
an album of everything so far if these two aren't enough.

I think it looks better, but I'd be interested in the thoughts of others.
toes and fingers!
Right now he's got a very odd shape on his crotch, if you want that to be his belly it should be pushed up higher. His profile is also super thin. His upper back should be thicker to allow for his rib cage...
Whatever you do, don't start working at high subdivision levels until the anatomy is correct. Thats the number one mistake most people make on their characters.
I think you're right about the back being too thin there. However I was also going for a starving sort of look so he'll be pretty thing. The belly was intentionally put there though. I always seem to struggle between anatomy and matching concepts.
Drop it back down and push and pull his body parts until the silhouette is perfect. Trust me, even small changes go a looooong way for characters and anatomy. I'm not a great character artist, but here's a basic paint over with a few changes.
Add a little more mass to him, I know he's a skinny little goblin, but right now he's looking like he has one foot in the grave.
The stomach is still too low, it almost looks like he's got a full diaper.
The pose, as you have it now, looks like he's on his heels and is gonna fall backwards. Hunch him over more so that he looks more balanced.
Along with the mass, give him more curves. His legs look like they're just bones, show the muscle on them. Make sure the body has swooping curves that flow together. This will make him look much more natural and alive.
The changes you made to the head and face look really good.
Keep it up!
