Hello everyone,
I would like to know more informations about Materials and IDs. I know that you can have multiples IDs on a mesh. By having multiples IDs, you can assign multiples materials on you mesh.
But can you have multiple IDs and a general ID that gather all IDs ?
Here is an example, I have a sphere with two IDs (left and right) with two colors (blue and red), si the sphere is divided in two part along the vertical axis. Is it possible to apply a blend material with some alpha and other color over the whole object ?
The aim is to preserve these properties on FBX export.
Thanks you very much.

(hint: information is good! Like, what software? What engine? What's google? What's the weather like out there? What is love?)
Can I have a mesh exported to Unity and apply 3 materials. One on the first ID, one on the second ID and one on the whole object.
If you just want to blend between two textures, then look into vertex colour blending. You'll need a shader that supports this in Unity, but you could preview it in Max, that's what I assume your using, from using the term "Material ID's."
