The image above and the following two images are a weather monitoring station that I created for Lacuna Passage. I came up with the design by roughing it out in 3DS Max. Then I did the rest of the modeling and texturing using Max Zbrush, Photoshop, nDo and dDo.

My first gun model.
The Client needed it to be based on the KRISS Super-V, but with some major changes to make it unique and avoid copyright issues.

Latest gun looks pretty nice but I would add a bit more value separation between pieces to add more interest. Also, I think the spec could use work to also add more separation. The holes on the front should prob be black in your spec so they read like holes.

I think the KRISS Super-V looks fine how it is. Firearms aren't really shiny at all. Some may be, but firearms (especially like this one) aren't. Small hardware such as pins and screws will have high spec of course...Mostly. Varies from manufacture.

However the firing and safe mode (Most if not all firearms in existence), are color coated, commonly with 'red' being fire, and 'white' being safe. The Eotech optics usually have a small yellow caution sticker on the side. You can add it, if you really want to get anal.
