Hi everyone:),
My name is Ana Valente, I'm a fantasy and children's book illustrator, I would like to share with you some of my works.
I'm also building a simple website portfolio to showcase the illustrations at
http://www.ana-arte.com/
It's a fresh start for me, so I apreciate all your critics and suggestions, to help me improve and grow as an artist
.
Thanks in advance,
Ana Valente

You might also want to have an online store of some sort where you sell prints of your work. You'd have to work with your employer for any contract pieces, but you could certainly sell things you've created on your own. http://jobs.thefuntimesguide.com/2011/09/print-on-demand.php has a discussion on setting things up.
I'd probably change the portfolio link to a download for the PDF. At the same time, I'd move the information on the PDF to the gallery - the viewer could click on an image, and go to a page with additional images and information about the images. I'd also copy the resume and contact information in your PDF to the About page or a separate Resume/CV page. If you have the time, you could make versions in each of your languages; this could help if you're looking for contracts outside Portugal. (A handy language selection when a visitor first arrives and localized text would help showcase your CSS skills.)
Aside from the links to the finished products I mentioned earlier, I'd like to see more information about each image. When you created it, how long it took, and possibly even a series of images from your initial concept & rough sketches to the finished product.
I really don't like the side scrolling on your site though. A simple vertical format would be better imo.
Also you might be better off at http://www.conceptart.org/forums/
Polycount is kind of for game art
