A request for help - missing Pen driver - Intuos 3 PTZ 630

Hi guys, first ever post here. Recently I've been having a lot of problems with my Intuos 3 PTZ 630.

Now, it's an older model that has been discontinued by Wacom, and I've not been able to find or get into contact with any of the support techs as it's not during their work time - I'll definitely keep trying though.

Anyway, I was unaware that the model was discontinued by wacom, and attempted to update the driver for my tablet. The result was that the driver mysteriously vanished. It no longer exists. I've searched the entire computer for it, tried to find new drivers with no luck (and promptly found that they don't support my model Wacom), and I've been unable to find the disc that supposedly came with the tablet. Is there any way I can replace the driver for both the pen and the tablet? And if so, where?

If, alternatively, I need to get a new tablet, what would you recommend?

Cheers all!

- Miro

P.S will see if uni has the drivers for my tablet, but it's unlikely given the model.

Edit: Please forgive me if I put this in the wrong place - I'm somewhat new to these forums.

Have you tried the Legacy Drivers page? I own a Graphire 4 (circa 2005) tablet and it's listed on there. There's a category for Intuos 3 which will probably cover your tablet.

As for recommending a new tablet, I hear Intuos 4 Medium tablets are excellent for most situations. I would stay away from the Intuos Pros. I recently bought one and the drawing surface is so rough it ate through a nib in one night. Needless to say I returned it.

Hey, thanks for the fast reply - I'll definitely take a look at the link. Also, the recommendation is much appreciated - I'll do a little research, but I'll keep your recommendation in mind!

Edit: Thanks for the link - that fixed the issue - I tried the drivers page on that site in my search, but weirdly, it didn't link me to that page. Regardless, the link you gave me really, really helped out. thanks a lot mate!
