Simple sub d problem I can't figure out

I'm sure this is something simple, but not sure...

I have a spherical shape that I deleted a few faces out of. I need to sharpen the corner from the faces I removed but everything I try ends up with a triangle or a 5 sided poly.

Pictures help.
I want to keep that loop along the edge to crease it, but not create a triangle or 5 sided poly to prevent odd pinching without creasing the major curve shape.

    You could just do this:

Granted it might wreck the curvature a bit when you turbosmooth, but unless it's something that's going to be under heavy scrutiny and easily seen, eyeballing the translation of the edge so that it "fixes" the curvature smoothing ought to be good enough, especially considering most minor smoothing errors get covered up once you throw textures on the model. Or alternatively use more polys to begin with.

Maybe should have said i am applying turbo smooth for a high poly model. Both images attached that have tris or the 5 sides have some ugly pinching after the smoothing.

Collapsing the loop will result in a super soft edge. How do I add edge supports on that corner so it has a nice sharp corner without disrupting the flow of the rest of the spherical shape?

Snoop I tried that first but it makes a dramatic crease either way. It's iron mans faceplate, so threres not really an inconspicuous spot there.

Hmmm... Is there a better way to approach the problem then? I've seen plenty of iron man visors that looks ultra smooth and have the same sharp corner in that spot.

    What am I missing?

Thank you, now I see my flaw, I thought the support edge for the corner had to run through the whole poly (the 90 angle one), I didn't realize just having it on the lower edge and connecting it to an existing loop would tighten the corner.

I have looked at so many threads but there is soooo much information I couldn't find a solution for this specific problem. This realization corrects a lot of the problems I've been boing into lately.

Thank you for taking the time!
