[WIP] Kill La Kill | Nonon - Anime Character

Hey guys, I have started working on Nonon from Kill La Kill.

I'm going to experiment on this a bit with by making a small diorama and instead of painterly-like textures, I will paint the cells and casted shadows directly so it won't be game usable but for real time viewing via Sketchfab.




This is what I have so far. I will fix her head to match the expression above.

Just about ready to unwrap. Just need to fill the dress area because of backface culling.

Done the pose and just finished baking the "cells", done by a direct light with a high intensity. It will need a little touching up and adjustment, but it's much easier and cleaner than painting it.

Just thought this high key render looked cool.

Though i can't help but wonder, when looking at that reference...

I saw many animes in past and i just saw this many times in them and wonder, but...what's up with painting eye OVER hair?

Thanks! Yeah I'm not really sure, it's either a style thing or a cultural thing.

its meant to show transparency, like the eyes can be seen through the hair, but more stylish, using less strokes.

i think the only part that looks strange are the feet. i would make the top smaller and lower. the rest looks awesome, good job.
