Hello everyone.
just released my first set on the workshop, i will keep posting here my WIPs and future work on the dota 2 workshop.
any feedback is welcome!
I dont know much about modeling but the models look pretty awesome to me! The one thing I would say though- you're going for a very bland colour scheme for a hero with a pretty exciting colour palette- Huskar's colours are teals, greens, browns, as well as fiery reds, oranges, yellows, whites.
It would definitely benefit your concept to try and get rid of the focus on dim greys and browns with red highlights (as this is much more reminiscent of beastmaster) and start chucking in some exciting colours, I think this set is a good example of how colours can be used for him: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Sacred_Bones_Set
What Id suggest if you wanna use bone is have them transition from white at the tip to an earthy orange/red,since that can exist in real life it shouldnt be hard to push it a little further to your goals especially with the addition of paint too. Cool sculpt tho
i was talking abouth the colors on the off hand with the guy that did the concept, its for sure a concern. i will make the whole set and see how the color will come out, then make some adjustments. but ty, the bone color variations is great idea, will make some tests with it for sure
