I am trying to transfer a texture from one UV set to another the second one have multiple tiles. I can't seem to be able to do that maya doesn't seem to recognize that I have multiple uv tiles. I tried to transfer maps it transfers the maps correctly but ignores multiple tiles. I tried wrap image it gave me a faceted result ( separate image per face!) and also ignored multiple uvs also it only has a max resolution of 1024. I was trying to transfer the maps with mudbox but it seems to give a faceted image with subdivision render and multiple uvs and causes distortion within the image when ray casting the transfer.

THanks for the reply oglu! It turns out that there was some corruption in the UVs as I exported the mesh from Zbrush. This error happens in Zbrush too!
I deleted all the images that I got out of mudbox but I had made a post in ZbrushCentral regarding this and these are those images the exact same thing happens.

The edges in the face in the UVs were somehow connected to the edges in the fingers and so on.

I then rexported the mesh without polygroups now it works flawlessly. I only wish I had figured it out sooner.
