Hey everyone,
It's been a long time since I started a fresh project. After a redundancy it's been hard to getting back into things.
I've decided to create Bag End. I'll be doing the Entrance Hall, Parlour and Kitchen but I've blocked out most of the interior if I decide expand. It's all just blockout mesh for now. I thought it's a great environment for dressing and lighting. I'm looking at recreating the lighting where they're around the fire singing 'The Misty Mountain'.
Started in CE3 though I'm tempted to switch to UDK. I feel UDK might get me warmer results and more control over materials?
Anyhow, here are some progress shots:

I'm all up for creating a cheerfully warm scene. Hopefully I can pull it off!
Just in the process of planning out texture sheets to be as optimal as possible.
Playing around with UDK to see how it compares with Cryengine 3. I must say I prefer the results UDK gives with the bounced lighting and the softer feel. I'll keep going in UDK for now and see how I get on. Still mostly in the blockout phase.
This was more of a test so please forgive the lack of lighting and the darkness.
