Hey guys, I've decided to start an hourly session of modeling before going to work each day. I'm starting with the talented Alex Jessup's concept of his HK G56. All credit to him. My plan is to spend no more than an hour on these models a day and continue working on my other larger projects in the evenings and weekends.
First hour down and I'm working on the proportions and block out as there is no side view. I'm comparing other HK's proportions in effort to get a strong top view.

I think he is a bit busy to finish the series though but I learned quite a lot!
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
I just spent a good half day getting proper bakes out of a not very complex mesh of mine. Still fixing things most of the time instead of getting stuff done but slowly getting there.
DerRaz: I wanted to approach this model as more of a lunch crunch, but seeings that my lunch hour doesn't allot the time to work on portfolio work, I just made it a before work project. I won't like I spent some longer sessions in the final days of this as I was ready to finish it.
Chase: Thanks. I see what you're saying I'll adjust the typography on some of the shots.
