I am working on my advanced character modelling assignment in my 3rd year of university and I was hoping to get some feedback. This is my progress so far, I have used loads of different references but it isn't based on anyone in particular.
It's very much a work in progress and obviously there isn't any work done on the face yet. Any constructive criticism is welcome
I'm going for a semi realistic look with a bit of a comic book superhero twist.

Great start, keep going!

A friend mentioned that it has a bit of a brink feel to it which is perfect, pretty much what I am going for. What does anyone else think??
Other than that I have finally made a start on the head. Pretty much just basic blocking in now but it's nice to have something looking remotely human. Still working on the basic form but any feedback is appreciated. Oh and the neck is still not right but I will touch on that more soon.
Here is a picture of my design. It's actually a realistic redesign of Sackboy for a fighting game, Maybe I should have put that in the title.
The body of vastus lateralis muscle should probably end at a higher position. Its tendon should be visible entering the knee area.
MicroMesh Problems
So I am trying to get the pattern on the clothing I want using MicroMesh. I got it working great on a plane but on anything else the orientation is all over the place. Does anyone know How I could get each MicroMesh going in the same direction??

Starts around 13 mins in
Last thing I will add is some more details on the skin. it's way too smooth at the minute. And then some stitching and finer details on the hoodie and mask to break it up a little.
Very basic colour plan.
Starting to move out of Zbrush and into 3ds Max now, Here is my Polypaint. I'll be improving in photoshop as the material is doing a lot of the work here.
