Hi all,
I recently picked up Banished when it was released a few weeks ago and was impressed with the game play. I really enjoy city-builders/simulators and found this one to be challenging and relaxing to play.
Anyway, I got inspired to do some fan art for it in my free time and as a way to challenge myself and learn more about tileable textures and other misc things. I decided to do my take on the "Hunting Cabin" from the game. For those that haven't seen it, here is a screen grab:
Here is my current WIP:
All the textures are place-holders, but I do plan on using realistic textures. I've blocked out the shape of the doors and windows to get the scale right. You can see I've tested adding some polys to the corners and the roof to bring out the silhouette, I also plan to play with the proportions.
Having fun so far and looking forward to having it flushed out.

Also, my ability to recognize commonly used stuff from CGTextures never ceases to amaze... myself.

Here are some more images of my WIP. I've brought the model into CryEngine to see how it looks. The UVs aren't right yet. Should I worry about optimization now or once I'm more happy with the model as a whole?
