Hi, we are a small indie team and we are looking for a couple more members. Particulary we are interested in a 3d animator and a modeller with a knack for hand painted textures.
Engine: Unity3d.
Platforms: android, iOS, win8.
Genre: top down action RPG.
Setting, visual style: mostly fantasy, close to League of Legends and Warcraft. I'd say it is 90% fantasy and 10% sci-fi.
About the game: we are developing this game for mobile devices (phones and tablets). Our main focus is to create breathtaking fast-paced combat that will suit playstyle of mobile gamers, who prefer short game sessions filled with action. The gameplay will be a little bit non-standard for RPG, but we are not ready yet to show it in video.
The team:
Artem: technical 3d artist, project lead.
Michael: experienced game designer.
Kirill: programmer.
Andrey: junior 3d artist.
The project isn't very big, we are not crazy (enough) to do a MMORPG or something like that, but the game is still fairly complex. As a team of indie developers, we've decided to go for full-scale mobile 3d RPG instead of some simple 2d puzzle. The task isn't trivial, but we are doing fine as you can see at screenshots below.
At this point most of graphic work is on me, from modelling to animation and visual FX. To speed up development process we have decided to seek for help. So, here it is: we are looking for additional 3d animator and a modeller with good hand painted texturing skill (texturing is what takes a lot of time, not modelling).
There is a lot of work to do, but we are planning it in a way to keep the project doable for a small team.
Now we have a bunch of models and animations ready, a lot still in development. Since the project is in production for a while, I've made quite a bit of stuff which still needs to be finished, so I don't show them on screenshots. In code we have made a number of core mechanics, character controls, AI, etc.
Here's some characters (wip):

Some environment (wip too!):

And some animation:

3d animator:
- You should be able to do decent 3d animation like that in video above.
- Ideally you animate in Maya, thats our main tool. All previous animated characters and rigs were made in Maya. If you work in another software, but have access to Maya it will take a couple of evenings to learn it for animation.
- Would be nice if you can do or willing to learn rigging. If you aren't Maya user you will definitely have to supply your own rigs.
- We expect you to work with us 10 or more hours a week.
Modeller-texturer:
- You should be able to do the work of quality close to mine (see screenshots).
- You must have good hand painted texturing skills. Most of work is texturing. Modelling and UV is optional in fact.
- Most of work is environment art. Around 20% - characters.
- We expect you to work with us 10 or more hours a week.
Payment: we don't have a budget, so we offer a rev-share plus fixed price per asset AFTER release (of course, price should be adjusted for indie scale) if we earn enough money to pay.
Even if you make like only five assets for us, we will still pay you if we make enough money selling the game.
