Help making bottom of boots and sculpt a texture

I have this boot I'm making in Zbrush and I want to make the bottom of the boots where there is a certain design to it. Like this



So far I have this. Just a plain bottom



I want to know any nice techniques for doing this.



And another thing I want to know how to do is to get the look of the side of this boot.




so far I got this. I used the rake brush. But I want a clean version. One that looks like the reference.



If you guys know techniques or tools for this please let me know

I'm not an expert at all. But I think I have seen someone making an alpha brush for the sole pattern. Like, the whole pattern. And you just lay it down on the sole. Also, have you tried noisemaker for the side of the boots yet ?
