Greetings everyone!

I am an experienced developer(lifetime hobbyist, a couple of years at a large database company, most recent 1.5 years in game development) who recently has come in to a good chunk of free time and is looking to team up with an artist/designer to collaborate on a small project to take to market for an even split. Over the years I've worked on quite a few things some of which you can see in my portfolio at http://www.rootllama.com.

I love programming games(especially engines/tools) but I feel that I am very lacking in the creativity department. This is where you come in.

I will handle all the programming and will be working full time. The expectation is for you to handle the art direction and production and for us to collaborate on the game design. I would like to start as soon as possible so it would be nice if you had a good chunk of time available as well.

I am open to all types of projects if there is something you would like to work on in particular, but here is a list of things that have been on my mind lately:
- Low-poly 3D models
- Space ships
- Simulation games
- 90's RPG games
- Immersive worlds

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey looking to do a similar thing. I'm a 3D artist/environment artist, portfolio at www.ben-w-wilson.co.uk

Maybe take a look and see if you feel like it would be worth talking about some ideas.

    Best Ben

Hi! Not sure if you guys are still interested in looking for a project, but figured I'd give a shout out.

We're a classic roleplay-enforced RPG in development since 2012. We aim to create a world where players have to stay in-character, speak and act as characters do, so not the typical hack and slash, sell/buy loot type MMORPG. Atmosphere-wise this is a lot more like the RP-servers of Ultima Online, for example.

We had a playable client/running server in isometric 2D, but recently started an overhaul and conversion to 3D. Our team consists of enthusiasts. We have one programmer (who is overworked), one 3D artist (even more overworked), one 2D artist and a music guy. We've got a story to tell for years ahead, and epic lore in store. Had a small beta-test community before we went for the 3D overhaul.

Feature wise it's rather extensive. There is magic, alchemy, a complex combat system, primarily attribute/dice-driven, all manner of crafting and gathering, farming, terraforming, and asset construction/destruction. Day and night cycles, seasons, seasonal changes to the wilderness, and lots of ideas for dynamic quests.

The game is going to be free to play, and offer no direct advantages for paying players, but they will be able to buy additional character slots, personal email addresses, cosmetic changes, and other out of character convenience perks. Also, a donation system to support the game will be introduced.

The website is also under construction, but has enough material to give a brief introduction to the game. Feel free to check us out!

    Cheers!
