Hi Guys,

I heard you guys are great for giving feedback to noobs like myself. I'll try to do the same as I improve too. I was working on this head trying to get the proportions right. It looks fine to me, but I don't know if I'm missing something. Any thoughts? You comments are very much appreciated.

Speaking not to porportions but your model's ear, are you gonna keep the ear like that? It doesn't seem to accurately reflect a real ear's forms.

Hi! Thank you very much for your reply I was beginning to the the whole world was ignoring me so thank you! I agree the ear on this model is awful, amongst other things, but this was purely a proportion study. The fact it's coloured in and stuff was the result of me just playing around with it afterwards trying out some techniques. I'd have some negative feedback about my proportions recently so that was the main focus here

Did a quick overlay of loomis head proportions, You could do it yourself for the side view. As you can see the nose, eyes, ears and top of the skull are higher then the ref lines. I warped one image and it looks better if you move these things to match it.

I think you should start looking at blocked out heads, Build it up in planar shapes. Jumping into softness is not helping you understand the structure.

Thanks pal I hadn't considered laying over the Loomis head like this - there's 1 to remember I can solve proportions myself in future. The planar head was actually next on the tick list... New head tomorrow thanks
