Tournament ticket + item... percentages???

I was approached recently by a small tournament that wants to bundle one of my items with their tickets.
Im just wondering if anyone here has dealt with this, and how does the whole process work.

They are allowing me to choose a set ammount of money, or a % of the ticket revenue. Thoughts?

My personal rules are no less than 50% for anything complex like a set or courier. On single items, I'd probably go down to 30% depending on the complexity.

realisticly you can go down to 25% at most. depending on how much they put into the prize pool , etc.
You can choose a set amount of money aswell , as long as it is decent/satisfies u.

You can allway ask them how much they are willing to give and just start from there ( they will offcourse give you the bare minimum)

I really would stay away from cash/flat rate offers, people have been screwed over in the past this way. Stick to the Valve system, avoids headache. Percentage wise it varied widely, depends on what they want from you.

Thank you all for your opinions! i appreciate it. I think i will go with valve's system as well, and get rid of any issues that could arise from other methods.
