This is the last character I did a week or two ago. I spent about a week on her, between classes.

Here's a tiled texture I'm working on in Z. I can't wait to paint it! Its my first real attempt. I'm loosely following the Vertex magazine tutorial by Fanny Vergne (2nd issue). I wouldn't consider myself a texture artist, but its a nice break.

I hope to work on some concept sketches for the hard surface armor during class and post em here. As always, c&c welcome!

Good progress-- Nice to see the rest of the armor fleshed out. Here's some feedback on the armor.

First, I think some of the underlying anatomy is a little off, specially the legs.

How are the knee pads attacked to the pants? What type of cloth are the pants? Maybe try making the undergarments tighter and then layer lose clothing on top of the armor (i.e. Destiny, Titanfall or concept art by fightpunch). Along those line, this could help make the silhouette more interesting.

There are a lot of circles used as details and they are all about the same size. Maybe kill the indents on the front of the thigh pads (its getting a little busy IMO). Break up forms into small, medium and XL shapes. IMO, the boots and gauntlets don't fit with breast plate and cuisses.

This is just my initial reaction... I would suggest getting some more feedback before doing anything to crazy:)

Yay! feedback. All excellent points. I was thinking the same thing about overlaying cloth. To Zbrush!
