Hey guys,
I'm currently doing a character sculpting project at University this is my first time sculpting using Z brush. I'm having some trouble getting the hands right on the character, Originally they were created using zsphere on the original block out, but I had some weird problems when I changed to dynamesh so I had to delete the hands after noticing half way through, should I just start from the zsphere again or is there a better way of doing hands here? I also tried insert hand but it was so hard to align with the model and how it looks. Also open to feedback on how the character looks keep in mind it isn't that great as its my first and it still needs alot of work

You will also need good solid understanding of anatomy. Check that link.
In fact it's probably a good idea to try and absorb and understand each page for each section. Look to the block-out section for a guide on how to start sculpting the fingers.
Start by blocking out the boldest shapes and only go to a new subdivision level when you absolutely can't get the form in the current level.
It looks to me like you've subdivided your mesh too early. Go back down a couple and see if you can get the form that you want in those.
