I am a graduate from Think Tank Training Center and just finsihed my Demo Reel focusing in Character Modeling and Texturing. Hope you like it and feel free to tell me you opinion about.
My only critique is that on the second character sense you have all that wear and tear on his clothes it wouldn't hurt to add more subtle dirt on his skin. Other than that it looks amazing. Keep it up man.
Very cool stuff. Your material definition is stellar!
Some critques...
The first guy his arms look a tad short and the biceps are short as well and the insertion point under the delt looks off and sorta weird. Some of this might be a result of your posing if you used a t-pose to model him or something.
The second characters chest piece looks sorta weird and the materials there aren't reading so hot imo. Also the gun appears to be scaled too small imo, and possibly too thin.
The last character the folds in the jacket above the elbow look odd, in fact the weight of the jacket from that point doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Almost like its wet skin instead of tough leathery jacket material. Also his hips look too low and general pose a bit off putting (needs more love from the back views).
Anyway, these are very nit picky critiques honestly. the characters look great and it makes me want work on some of my own again!
@dustinbrown: Hi Dustin, It is quite a honor that you like my reel. You were quite a inspiration when I started with 3d modeling 2 years ago. I remember well your Modeling Reel 2009 and the Voldo videos. And you seem to do very well in you career right now.
@roderickweise: Hi Roderick, always good to see Think Tankers online. congrats to your new job! I used to live in San Francisco for a short amount of time, what a fascinating place. Pierre Bourgeot was my mentor.
