Hey guys back with my latest project. Been thinking about doing a non sci fi space project for some time but didn't feel like doing the entire ISS. This got be researching some plans for future and past projects and I came across Freedom. It was NASA's original plan to build a US only (I think) space station and later become the ISS as we know it.

Tons of cool concepts for this station floating about and I love the simple 80's design of the exterior. Planning to model some interior sections as well.

Anyway here is some but not all of the Highpoly stuff in its current form, let me know what you think.

The surfacing looks nice How closely are you wanting to match the concept? At the moment the horizontal tanks in the concept feel substantially larger in diameter than the model, this also applies to the joining tube running between the two end pods. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out

Thanks Gona stick pretty close to the concept but as you can see i have added a bit more detail to the outside of the modules based on some ref images. Cheers for the feedback I will look at the scale of things again in the morning

Here is an update on the robotic arm, In all the ref images a lot of surfaces are covered in fabric tarps but, i really like the hard surface metal look of the main concepts so I am going to stick to that.

Will likely have it moving a module or something in the final scene

Low poly versions of the main modules. Might need to adjust scale still. Also feel like the tri count is too high.
