Eh all,
I'm assuming this will be something I'll just have to spend a couple hours to do properly, but thought it might not hurt to ask if anyone on the forums knew a good shortcut
(google search landed me nothing)
Question: I have a greyscale map image where I want to mask out the snow for a detail texture inside Cryengine, BUT, areas of the snow pretty much have the exact grey value of some of the surrounding terrain. My eyes clearly see the fine line where the snow cap stops, but photoshop doesn't.
PS; using CS2, but could use GIMP if it has a specific tool.
Thanks everyone.

its working like a keyer... just move the arrows to the gray value you need to mask and with alt+rmb you can do a soft falloff...
