Heys!
First time posting here
. So I wanted to try something different and hard surface yesterday and began modeling/sculpting this fireplace. Originally I created the back drop just to display it and now it's started becoming a full environment...
Any ideas on how to display the fireplace without making an entire room? Or should I just keep going on the room, I was thinking of adding candle scants on the sides as well as a clock or picture above it.
Critiques would be great too!

As for presentation, you could take just the part of the room you have now and make a diorama like this: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1871590
Or just find a nice angle so that the focus is on the fireplace. You'd probably have to make it a corner though.
If you keep adding objects to the scene, i would suggest adding something to the foreground, like a table or couch, to get more depth in the composition.

Was just searching around for ornate and Victorian style fireplaces and stumbled upon it.
Hykare, I was looking at the amazing corner piece when I was looking for reference and actually that was my first plan hah. I think you're right that I'll have to make it a corner, going to play around with the angle some more.
KM, definitely want to add something to the foreground like a table I just haven't decided what kind of room it is really :shifty:
I'll post some updates later today!
