  • Small presentation


Hi, we are the FrostyFroggs Team, we are developers and students in our last master year.

We would like to share with the Polycount community our last production which is called "Atakapu".


The team is composed by the following members:


- Soumois Pierre-Emmanuel => Programmer, Shader Artist and Communication manager

- Hanrez Martin => Environment Artist, Animator and Chara designer

- Ambroise Corentin => Level builder, Level designer, Environment artist and Lighting artist

- Gauthier Coraline => Interface designer, 2D Artist, Sound designer, Animator and Environment artist

- Dailliet Elisabeth => 2D Artist, Environment artist and Chara designer





  • Few words about the project


Atakapu is a 2.5D plaformer for PC based on the switch of abilities.


The Four abilities and their effects on the gameplay are:


- Neutral (First level): Simple Jump

- Agility: Double Jump, Wall Jump and Grapnel

- Aggressiveness: Simple attack, Shield, Charged Attack and Charge

- Ghost Ability: it's a bonus state available a short time during wich the character is transparent, invincible and can pass through the enemies and small walls.


The purpose of the game is to smartly use the differents abilities to finish the levels the quickest as possible.



The game is developed on Unity and mainly coded in C#.

The differents used programs are Maya, Zbrush, 3D-Coat, Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Story


A small monster aboard his ship want to go to an intergalactic Halloween party but his trip meets some difficulties due to a lack of candies (fuel). His ship crashes on a wild planet called Atakapia, during the crash, some ship pieces and his three halloween costumes are scattered around Atakapia.

During his trip, he will discover that Halloween is not appreciated in every culture,specially for the Atakapu's who hate monster. They will chase him and try to kill him if he tries to steal their precious candies. His quest is to collect a maximum of candies, get back his halloween costumes and his ship pieces to leave the planet and go to the Halloween party.
