Problems creating a chain using the curve brush

Hi all,

As you've no doubt garnered from the title, I'm having problems creating a chain using the curve brush. The problem being that the links don't join. There's gaps between each two link section. When I export from max, the pivot point is in the center of the two links. I get the idea that I'm supposed to sort it in the preview window of zbrush, but I've no idea what that's all about. THanks in advance!

I guess you need to press "weld points" button in order to connect the links.

Well, I'm just now noticing the overlap parameter. But now the chain links are all scaled and stretched in an axis.

can anyone at all talk me through making a chain brush i cant do it i watched the tutorials on youtube it dosent work i need very specific instructions on how to make a simple chain curve brush please
