Hey everyone! I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I do anything wrong or break some kind of rule :D
I've been looking at some of the work on this forum and its pretty amazing, so I thought this would be a good place to ask for some help.
I am planning to work on a level in unity based upon the art style of Zelda Windwaker, I really like the cartoony look to it.
I have some basic models done so far and I am liking how they are looking:

I am very new to modelling so excuse me if I have made any big mistakes, once I try them out in unity I will scale them appropriately.

Heres some of my inspiration:

My real question for today is that I need some advice on how to actually go about trying to imitate the texture style. I am very new to modelling and texturing so any help will be appreciated. I have looked at 'traditional' painted style but I like the more smoothed look of the windwaker style, I am completely stuck on how I would get this kind of effect though.
Also.. are my models looking good? I am trying to go for a cartoon style, so I guess most of the details will come from the texturing.

Thanks in advance :)
