Hi,
so to update my portfolio works, this is a wip of a second asset.
This time I will try to make a scifi prop, and to begin with simple things I chose this thermal grenade from Elysium.

And another concept of the same grenade.

(LP top parts)
I post today a almost finish high poly model with a little paint over for colours test.
C & C are welcomes.
You seem to have a few too many extrusions. In the concept, I'd say you could see 2, 3 at the most from any given angle.
Also there are indentures (is that the word?) on the bottom part. Other than that I think it looks really good! Perhaps a bit too long overall, but that might just be me as well.. Either way I like what I see so far!
I try actually to remake this part, but I confess that I have some topology problem on the grenade bottom.
So this is my last WIP.
Thanks for the advice chriszuko.
Ps : Thank you all for your advices.

Adding a bit of texture to the normal and spec (even a coat of paint has a slight texture) or some very slight wear, could lock down the scale. The concept has some specular detail along the top of the 'cylinder' that illustrates this.
It look like to polish, to clean.
I will try to add some texture and dirt edges.
Thank you very much for the advices.:)
today I did a little more on diffuse texture and specular.
I wanted to try embed 3D model viewer like Sketchfab or Verold, but the Sketchfab website doesn't respond, and Verold doesn't want to create a material for my mesh. :poly118:
So there is a screenshot.:)
