I'm new here and if I understood correctly, this post belongs here, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
I use Blender with Cycles renderer and also Octane Render with the Blender plugin to design my scenes. However, I have never designed a game level or environment and I would like to give it a try, so I have some questions.
I saw more than one post about the Marmoset software. I was wondering if this is something that would be useful to me. I wanted some points about this before I try the demo.
Also, I don't use Blender game engine, so I thought some opinions from here could help on deciding what game engine to use. I'm not specifically interested in Unity because I'm not personally happy with the Mono integration idea, but what do you guys think of Leadwerks. It looks very straightforward. Or any other engine you guys could comment on would be great.
After I have that out of the way, I will be more specific about design questions, but right now I need something to drop my objects into, so I'm searching for a really good engine to start with.
