You should probably use zsphere so to make those wings. That way they won't be so lumpy and misshapen. You might even be able to use shadow box to more effect. And as always stay at a lower sub-d until you got your forms all correct.
Seems like a fun project. Are you going for the cartoony look or something else?
I did a cartoon version before, I think this time it will be more realistic. For the wings I used the CurveTriFill, works really well to get that basic shape down...I just now re meshed the wings to something more manageable so it doesn't look so lumpy. Thanks for the reply. Yea its becoming a fun project. Ill post and update.. I just love the cartoon and its a big motivator, I did have the cartoon playing in the background.
Just figuring out Goliaths pose and muscle shapes, the mesh is still low, 45,000 polys...Ill be doing the head last and seperate and then dynamesh it back together.
This looks great, I dig that you're not jumping right to hi poly smooth and dough but taking the time to focus on the pose. It's coming along awesomely, the chest could we wider/broader, looking at the picture.
thanks for the critique,Ill definitely change that. What do you think about the head? I took a front view from the cartoon as well as a side view and matched it up with that and now I am trying to make it realistic, but the more I do the more it looks less like him, so hitting the key points of the face and making sure it does not change, will hopefully keep it recognizable.
