hi,
so im trying to Finnish my first complete model and texture for axe. I made the color map, normal map, and then just to test the model in the workshop importer i left the mask1 and mask2 both fully black. everything imports correctly (images are 256x256 and in the right file format from what im showing), but the bump map dos not show up?
Im using blender to rig the weapon to the skeleton and I just have the texture on the model when I export it as a .smd file, do I need to apply the normal map to the model too before i export it? iv looked for tutorials on how to do it but im not able to find anything. here are some images of what my results are.
What am I doing wrong?

But to answer your actual question, I think you need to invert the green channel of the normal map since Source reads normals differently
