Hey PC I just started a new project in 3ds Max, just learning still from Maya to Max and I feel confident to start something a little more technical after my tomahawk project. So ill be documenting my progress on here.
So ill be working on the ChemRail from the movie Elysium. So far I have a block out model with some areas getting fleshed out. Looking to duplicate the model and work side by side with a high poly in Max.
Any critiques at the this stage will be more then appreciated.

Tweaking out my low poly model, so far here is my result, looking for any suggestions and changes before moving on
At the moment they are very tight and that wont bake down very well as a normal map.
Racer455 is renowned on polycount and always referred, so like passing on the Olympic torch, here you go.

Progress thus far on the Chemrail gun. Took a break on it for awhile but back at it, this is the low poly with the normal bakes and AO. Just tweaking and cleaning the maps and making sure everything is all good before moving on. Critiques will be appreciated.
Ill re post agian with the final renders and what not but for not this is a simple render to show what i have. 1 4K texture sheet for the whole gun, with a tri count of 8019
Well with the actual gun in the movie it was the same way. One side was flipped the wrong way so I'm going to keep it that way, just worked well that the actual design was like that so I didn't need to make another uv space for it.
Sorry guys my photobucket is low on band width for the time being but I have my latest shots up on artstation. I'll post the link so you can check it out and as soon as I'm able to ill post back on here.
