Looks cool. Are you just doing a high poly?

Almost all of your edges are the same thickness. I would consider making some edges more beveled and rounded than others. This could help make things more interesting and add a bit more variety.

The barrel looks too big compared to the chamber where the bullets are held.

Also consider putting in a lens for the sight. It looks hollow right now.

Yup the barrel is too big, and you missed the iron site on it. As tobo says take a crack and making it less uniform.
Its a pretty sweet piece either way, but the concept definitely has a more lived in feel.

It took about a full day's work in total, not too bad - it's a pretty simple model really, just looks way more complex than it actually is

I'll probably bake it down to a low poly model, indeed - I'll probably wear the model down a bit first though, as you say - there should be a bit more variety and tear, some of which I'll put in the diffuse texture as well.

I'll downsize the barrel, thanks for the feedback! And yeah, it does need a lens and iron sights too, thanks for pointing that out
