Hey folks,
I've been working on some Source engine stuff for MODO - mostly saving/loading of SMD files. It's fairly simple at the moment but should be functional.
Let me know if you run up against any issues and I'll try and get them fixed.
Any features you'd like to see, let me know, too.
Also, are .vta files something you'd be interested in? I can look at supporting them, too.

SMD Import
- Fixed error when loading an SMD that MODO doesn't have write access to. Now no files are opened with write access on open/import.

- Fixed up code issues with SMD Export so you can directly save opened SMD files.
- Fixed up texture detection issue with SMD Export which was causing texture files to be ignored.
- Swapped Y/Z coordinates to match Source engine coordinate system.

Was searching for this a few days ago and couldn't find the thread you first mentioned it in anywhere
Fixed an issue with SMD Import that caused it to break if write access to the file wasn't allowed. It now doesn't need write access.
I hope you can input this tool as service providers....
I tried anyway, any chance getting this to work with MoidoSE?
However, I'm talking to them about potentially having it added once it's in a good enough state. I'll probably have to port it to C++ for that, though.
All SMDs I import have a misaligned skeleton... what am I doing wrong?

It's Modo 801 on Mac.
I had Modo Steam, they haven't been upgrading/bugfixing it.
So maybe they are just going with Modo Indie now?
Anyway, it's an 801 SP4 package of some sort. More stuff than SE had (animation, rendering).
So I dl'ed this script and tried it but nothing shows in the file>export as tab.
I also tried to run script> and I goit a warning saying 'validation failed'
