When I model, I find myself able to make most things in Max but have certain shapes that I find more easy to make in Zbrush. As a result my model ends up having clean geo for some parts and Zbrush Decimated objs for the more complex stuff.

My question is...Is this bad? What should I do in order to have my model as clean as possible and designed the way professionals expect in a studio.

for the complex parts i also sculpt it at first and after that i retopo from it and create a subd level0 mesh with clean topology and supporting edges for proper subd smoothing. i can bring that back to sculpting app again and subdivide and sculpt any further if i need.

but if your decimated mesh creates good enough normal map and if the final normal map is all you care for in that particular project then no need to worry about it.
