GOLF - Candy Mountain

Very rarely are humans allowed to visit "Candy Mountain Miniature Glof Resort".

Only the universe's Mini-Golf elite are allowed to pass through the gate to gaze upon the wonder that is "Candy Mountain".

Will you accept the challenge and putt along-side the Universe's elite?

There will most certainly be a reference to Charlie the Unicorn embeded in there as well as inspiration from Sugar Rush from Wreck it Ralph and Ice Cream Mountain from Rugrats [!]



With that said, most of this will be of my design completely made from candy and sweets!

Looking forward to coming up with some awesome Mini-Golf design as well as some awesome game art design!

So I'm finding this competition might be a little rough because I work here at Turbine from 9-5 every day, but I'm going to try to get in as much time on the weekends/nights/lunch as I can. Still blocking out my top down layout map. Much still to do!

So, this is pretty much the design that I came up with for the course itself. Not trying to overscope this (like I usually do) so I am trying to go a little more simple with it. Going to spend the rest of the weekend fleshing out the design and art. Much to do!

So, unfortunately I didn't get a ton done this weekend for various reasons but at work today I kind of had a breakthrough in the way I was thinking about the design of this hole. Will definitely be going to town on it tonight and hoping to have enough to get into engine soon! If I do enough tonight I may even have an update tonight!

Okay, so here is some work!

Think of it as some sort of proof-of-concept. Trying to make one section fairly fleshed out and then propagate the theory down to the other parts of the level. Still got a ways to go but it feels good to just let loose and just be creative!!

Cool looks good, I was thinking about doing candy around the edges of my course, but thought it might be too much. I'm just going to use a few umbrella handles. They look really good in yours. I'll probably stick to bricks unless I think of something else.
