Hi I'm looking to project a gradient on to a model in mudbox and I want to effect the back and front at the same time so that the gradient appears unbroken the whole way around. Is something like this possible?
there is no feature to do gradients in mud... but you could use a gradient stensil and a huge brush to get a decent result...
if i need a clean gradient i use maya with a side projection and bake a diffuse from it...
if i am not mistaken, he is not asking about the gradient. he is asking how to make the projection affect the entire mesh as opposed to just the polygons facing the camera.
body paint has projection like this i think.
as far as i know, there is no way to do it inside mudbox.
