Last Update :
I expand the door and made it older. To go out we have to pass the scann, the hologram is telling us the progress of the door.
For texturing I used the PBR practice, I have 2 x 1024*2048 textures. This scene is in the Cry Engine.
Hey Guys !
I'm making a futurist door based on a concept from 343 Industries.
I keep the same base and form but I will adapt metal plate, wall and floor.

I always have to work on the floor and the wall.
I will add one light on the top of the door and change the light on the corner.
I made some modif to ameliorate it :
- Width of several edge was to small
- The top of the big corner
- I changed some plate form to have less edges everywhere
I think it's more interesting like that. I still have to ameliorate some little things, and I will progress on the low poly.
I think you should add some horizontal lines on the door panel to even out that tension.
Also I have drawn over where your lines should go. You have made an odd choice imo leaving those triangles there! Also looks like you have some pinching on the curved bits of the doors and the curved bit on the door itself! Looks awesome though!
I add more details and correct some things. It's done with the high poly
Next step : Low poly, uvs, texture, good render !
Baking done, making some test in marmoset to see how is the normal render.
The flat wall is almost done, need some last tweak.
For the other one it's just the beginning.
I put my scene in the Cry Engine and set up a light, it still have to be tweak.
Right now I'm working on the door's texture.
On the other texture I have to change details (like the mirror, dirt).
Either way, I like this scene!
Yes you're right, I have to check yellow lights on the floor. I will change them and take a look at the radius.
The only thing that kind of stands out to me is the white tube going around the inside of the frame. They looked better as black or a dark grey. They look bright enough to be a light, which is kind of confusing as they're bending.
Door reminds me of the latest Killzone.
good job. Texures look very nice. I would add some variation, not i looks to repetitive.
Red lines on the wall and on the floor look to agresive as somebody just painted there. I would use lower saturation.
But as i said, i like it and i am looking forward to see your progres.

Such a little nitpick, but everything else is looking great. Keep it up for sure.
jaaamesss : After your critics, it's right they seems a little bit too saturate. I will change that and add some variation.
BobtheGreatII : Yes you're right I damaged too much the border edge so it seems "round", I noticed that after.
Thanks !
I changed the lighting. I think the light is better know, more realistic and we focus more on the door.
I still have some "pixel" in the render, I don't know where does it from. I have to search more about it.
jk. I like the model, I would maybe work on the textures a bit, the spec on the grating is good, I think spreading it along the rest of the metal would be a good thing. It would look great if you told a story with it of some sort, maybe put a low detail AI hologram at the door panel and darken the lighting and finish the room around it. Get some nice lighting in. Looking good so far!
AlexCatMasterSupreme : For your idea about the story, I will think about it !
I made a fast sketch in photoshop to show you how the hologram could be. The hologram will tell us a thing to do like open the door, wait, loading, etc.
