Nidhogg is a very simple game so I will explain this very simply:

It is a dark, retro, arcade style fencing game. If you play it with another human being, you will laugh until it hurts.

Had a moment where the AI got past me, started running for the goal. I proceeded to chase them, threw my sword at their back - they turned around for a split second to deflect it and then kept running, laughed so hard XD

Thinking about picking up it. How fun is the single player campaign? Right now I'm busy going through Escape Goat. Steam once again is making me stay away from boring AAA console games. All the interesting games are coming out by tiny indie devs.

Played this today at work and was really fun local multiplayer.

played a bit local.. it was amazing. I just got done trying my first online matchmaking and it was fantastic. Had a few really good games, close call ones where we kept getting to the very last room and would turn it around. the strategy and headgames are so fun, there's just the right amount of rock paper scissors for me plus the action. so good!

Well, you guys should play its parody,eggnogg too. Its free, so just try it!
It's not as polished as nidhogg, but to be honest, i felt that the control of eggnogg is so much better than nidhogg itself.
Probably because i played it first so that i felt more comfortable with eggnogg.

And if you guys have some time to spare, you guys should try another game made my Messhof too, Flywrench. It's great time waster, trust me. I'm a freak for a freeware games.

I second that eggnogg comment, nidhogg hast some fantastic ideas that eggnogg takes on with more fluent controls, that and the sweet arching swords thrown or the powerslides.
