Hey guys! I've decided it's high time that I start developing more of a personal style. I'm starting with hand painted textures. I would love feedback on how to improve!
Add some more layers of brick inside the texture itsself. It's a bit repeatable this way. But besides that, it looks good. Looking forward to some more!
This looks good. I think you need to add more color variation. Bricks and concrete between them shouldn't be same color. Also you can try to add some mossy green to the lower part of brecks. Just a little to add some variation. Anyway I like it)
Awesome, thanks guys. Made some adjustments. I'm trying to keep the brick from getting too overwhelming/repetitive from a distance so let me know what you think.
Brick texture looks good to me. The concrete however need more work. It's 100% gray at the moment which is something to avoid as much as you can. Try some light blue in the shadows, brown/red/greenish colors here and there.
The cracks don't read that well. How deep and wide are they ? I can't tell because light and shadow and edge highlights aren't defined enough I think.

Here's a concrete/sidewalk texture I did today.

Keep it up, handpainted textures are tough !
Can probably get you in the right direction.
