I'm working on a 3D platformer, I'm aiming for something along the lines of Croc in terms of visual style, hand painted textures, very colourful, no calculated lighting intended.
I'm working on some world textures at the moment so I can get a decent looking test level, I've not tried all that much with hand painted textures so I'm not in a position to critique my own work.
For the sake of showing it this is a base texture for the character model (which will be played with once main gameplay stuff and a single level are clean and ready)
at first I was writing my own engine but as my needs aren't expensive (and lack of documentation on use of GLSL versions) I decided to not reinvent the wheel and use Unity.
Here is my main concern at the moment, my ground texture (soon to be ground textures with path and grass textures)
any and all comments and crits are greatly appreciated,
thank you for reading,

Also I think you need to refine and add detail on the ground texture. It's too blurry at the moment.
How is this?
