Home Artists Looking For Work

Sydney indie game developer seeking amazing character artist!

Hey guys!

Practure is looking for a talented concept artist to work with us on our upcoming game! We are a team of 4 based in Sydney, Australia and we’re in the process of developing a vertical slice of our 3D side scrolling adventure/puzzle game to launch a Kickstarter project in order to fund continued development.

The game centers around three characters that the player can switch between. These characters each have a set of unique skills and characteristics, which, when combined, enable the characters to achieve a desired goal.

A brief description of the characters:
  • A quirky, German, middle-aged engineer/tinker
  • A wacky, lanky, agile American
  • A large, freakishly strong but gentle Soviet

The characters are military soldiers from WWII gone AWOL

Your tasks:
  • Design the characters according to a briefing and reference images
  • Create a colored pose turn-around for each character that will be used as references to model/texture/animate the characters.
  • Create a secondary unique pose for each character based on their personalities
  • Experience with modelling/rigging/animating is optional but a huge bonus!

Depending on the level of success of the Kickstarter project, we will also be interested in hiring you again for the following tasks:
  • Environment Concept Art
  • In-game cut scenes (Still or Animated)

While remote work is acceptable, a Sydney based artist is preferred as we may be interested in hiring you again for future projects, with an opportunity for permanent work also.

Interested? Email us with a copy of your work!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Just to make sure it's clear for everyone here, are you saying that this is essentially royalty/free work in the beginning and then payment comes after the kickstarter or is this a paying gig upfront as well as after the kickstarter?
