Hey guys,
Ive been a huge fan of polycount and ive finally decided its time to make my first post. This is an environment ive been working on in my spare time. Any critiques would be awesome!
Looks fantastic so far. I think the plaster looks a little too clean where it's supposed to be broken. Also, do you have the same specular on both the plaster and the brick? Both seem to shine the light the same way, but the brick would not be as reflective as something like plaster which usually has a coating.
Looks cool. Adding some actual geometry for some of the bricks would be nice. Also adding some bigger cracks coming from the broken out plaster. I would also like to see maybe some old wall paper that is no longer sticking and falling off the wall.
a couple problems I see with this scene conceptually: how did the robot get in the room and could the floor really support its weight, especially if its moving around? the robot really conflicts with the space that it's in.
I would much rather like to see some shots of just the robot in marmo, Right now i cant even see the front of it.
As far as the env that its in, the scale of the bricks are too large and the normal information (if there is any) isn't reading well at all. the spec and gloss might be a little high on the walls, i don't think plaster should be that reflective like it is on the left side.
The texturing on the robot looks good from what i see, keep it up
