I usually lurk on forums and have decided the only way to get better or get a community presence is to start posting, so if I have bad forum ettiquette, please forgive. That being said this is my first post. I recently got a license of dDo at GDC, and wanted to do a mini-project to learn the tools so I can effectively put it into my pipeline.(If I liked it) I love doing guns so I went start-to-finish on a classic Soviet rifle, a Ppsh-41. I made my mesh in Maya and created the normals using nDo2. I set the project to work at "third" resolution, with intention of doing a "New Production Render" to get it back up to 4k. I had several zipping issues, losing preset details from zipping data loss, and essentially was unable to get it to do a "New Production Render". I thought I did something wrong along the way, so I decided to redo it at a working res of "half". Still had the same issues and have decided to call this project finished due to frustration. Here are the results. First set is from the dDo previewer that uses marmoset skyshop. This seemed to get the best lighting that flattered the small details dDo is best at doing. I also found SketchFab, couldn't edit the lighting, so it doesn't look that great.[SKETCHFAB]3dd2e210a6494ab781e17f884c3b104f[/SKETCHFAB]

EarthQuake- I need to spend more time setting up the lights, that's for sure, just like how the preset lighting setup looked versus the new one, just preference.
